Ball Pit

about

This is my family's favorite track. Back in the day I would spend a lot of time with my aunt in Portland. She has two kids, Eek and Gracecakes, so we'd hang out with the kids a lot. Eek's favorite thing in the world back then was going to Chuck E. Cheese's. Made me think back to when I was his age. Didn't realize until after I wrote the song that kids playhouses don't use ball pits anymore... wtf? That was the best part. It was like a kid jacuzzi and freefall mat all in one!

lyrics

It’s my birthday, friends all here
To celebrate my big eight year
Only sitting down because we must
We eat the pizza but not the crust
We’re set free, we cause commotion
Converting dollars into tokens
We know the prizes aren’t top shelf
I give a high five to Chuck himself
See me dive head first in the ball pit
Against some rules, but I’ll above it
Get more tickets, get more tokens
13 kids, no sad emotions
This the greatest day I’ve had
Don’t like the Cheese? Well that’s too bad
Kids being kids, be it boy or girl
Greatest place in the whole wide world

In the ball pit, fun won’t let up
I hope that I never grow up

I wanna be here for the rest of my days
Arcades to be played, just so many games
Playing TMNT for two hours
I’ve got skeeball super powers
Mr. Munch always missing one hand
But he rocks out with that robot band
This new games tough but ya know I got skills
Love this place they got free refills
Mom if you give me one more dollar
I’ll get tickets to buy you flowers
And have enough left for a brand new toy
Don’t take me home, don’t end my joy
Can’t you see this brings me cheer?
Can’t you see that I love it here?
I’d gladly live here for all my life
Spending all my time…

In the ball pit, fun won’t let up
I hope that I never grow up

I see you smile
Seeing me here
I wanna be happy baby
Like I was that year
In the ball pit, feeling happy
Just laughing with my friends
In the ball pit, no worries
I hope this never ends
