Regrettably, I’ve never been able to take my family on a proper vacation. I write fantasy songs about tv shows and video games, why not one about my real ass life? We grew our family a little backwards and had the kid first, then started school, then got married. There was more to it than that, but more or less I guess people working and going to school really aren’t supposed to vacation unless you’re of Girls Gone Wild age. But even then, does MTV even spring break anymore? Most students I know spend their breaks in the livingroom not showering for 3 days because OMG HAVE YOU SEEN BREAKING BAD?! I MEAN LIKE REALLY SEEN IT?? But this is the life I want to be able to give to them some day. Where we’re able to pack up the car, hit up Seaside for a week, and just splash the kid and get upset at seagulls. The sweet life.
lyrics
I wanna take us on a holiday
My fam pack bags, leaving right away
The only place I wanna be is the beach
And once we’ve arrived, know you'll never wanna leave, no
I wanna take us on a holiday
iPhones thrown away on this vacay
Tommy Bahama got me looking like a tool
But ya never really notice when your lamping at the pool
Alternate reality, we have a lot of time
And I've saved a lot of duckets cause I'm always on my grind
Accumulate vacation now I'm gonna make it mine
Gonna be sublime, are ya ready for a ride?
Hit the coast, which one, it doesn't matter
We can't get there any faster, have the baby drain her bladder
Because I don't wanna stop until we make it to the water
Closer that we get ya know it's only getting hotter
Baby I just really wanna see ya in your swimwear
So this hotel room boo, let's get out of here
I wanna feel the sand between all my toes
And my back and my butt and my hair and my noes
Let's have a couple drinks inside some little coconuts
The beauty unrelenting and you know that it ain't letting up
So I'll be the Gilligan if you're the Mary Ann
I know your fantasies like their the back of my hand, yeah
Nothing cuter than our Nuggy in a swimsuit
At least while she's younger, when she's older then it's up for dispute
Afraid of ocean but a fan of sand castles
Dominate the surf like I dominate a rap battle
I don't battle, that's the joke, didja get it?
Not from around here and happy to admit it
Can't appreciate a paradise when it's in the back yard
Like take all the credit when you know you didn't work hard
My baby catching all the rays
Kind of like the way that I wished my Hawks played
Sorry baby, I'm sorry. no I won't talk sports
My only goal to make you want me while I wear these shorts
Nuggy please don't cry because a crab got close
Swear he didn't mean to scare ya, we're just in his house
Step back, quick flash, take a photo, make a memory
I always want you near to me, I love my goofy family

Couldn't have made "BURNER" without the Nerdcore genre this man started. Love this O.G.'s exasperated take on the modern internet, and hope he hasn't given it up entirely! Laurence Warner

I love this whole album: It just captures a wide range of experiences and affects the listener with a wide range of emotions.
I first liked this album because of the nerdcore elements, but I fell in love when I realized that these verses were true poetry, speaking to a deeper truth and beauty unlike most hip-hop I've heard. "A Poet" exemplifies this with its bittersweet message about how poetry is not valued. This is the first hip-hop tune I've ever shed a tear over.
