Rock Em Sock Em feat. Wheelie Cyberman & Former Fat Boys

about

I feel awkward about this track sometimes because when I heard and feel in love with the sample beat Mustin had sent, I thought “Oh man! I wonder if I could try to do like a Wheelie Cyberman type flow to this?” I then proceeded to do my best, but it kinda falls back to just usual Beefy-style towards the midway point. Ben was down to be on the track from the start and he might have been the first person to have his vocals into us. The second person I asked had way too much on the ol’ plate and had to regretfully back out. Then I thought… maybe ask Wheelie himself? Wheelie is my boy. Anytime I’m at PAX he hooks it up with good surroundings and I get to go backstage and sometimes I even get to perform with him and his amazing friends. But, again, I’m a major fanboy and Optimus Rhyme is still my favorite musical project I’ve ever been exposed to. I don’t think I’d ever asked Wheelie for a verse before because I don’t think it’s something he usually does. I can only think of him showing up on Front’s album for the Ping-Pong Song Remix/Very Poorly Concealed Secret Track. So, long story short, this is kind of a get. I feel bad for Ben because his verse brings the house down in the clean-up slot, but the hype train on facebook is already calling this “The Wheelie Song.” Hell, forget Ben. Now I’m the one offended. This is my damn album!

lyrics

We knock em out of their socks
Like rock em sock em robots
We change the game and then we do it all again

First and foremost baby there is just no stopping me
I got my upgrades long ago when I was at academy
Lubricated sockets meshing well with my circuitry
Expected life span is like now until eternity
So keep your fleshy vessel, none of which is bulletproof
I even got a sensor watch your chickens when they come to roost
I run on hater juice, alcohol, and methane
Night vision, death ray, steel chassis, no pain
Connected motherboards blowing up your record stores
Analogue annihilated, rotaries will be no more
What the hell you waiting for? I'm arming up to start a war
Lieutenants are a menace and will tear you up like Lattimore
Land where nothing matters but the size of your fist
Put a mic inside my hand and I will take you to bliss
Teeth you shouldn't grit man I'm just taking the piss
But talk some shit and YOU get thrown out like my first name was chris
